Meet Alix Shantz

Meet the owner of Rework

Alix always knew she had a desire to help others, along with a commitment to her health and reaching her full potential in athletics. She wanted to find a way that she could merge her passions into one. These interests lead her to a career as a Registered Dietitian. She pursued a bachelor’s degree in dietetics from Missouri State University while also competing on the division one Women’s Soccer Team. With a love for science, she also minored in biomedical Sciences.

After her undergraduate degree, she continued her education at Saint Louis University. She gained her Masters Degree in Sports Nutrition, completed her dietetic internship and obtained her Certified Personal Trainer certification through ACSM. With a strong background in athletics, she most recently added on a specialty certification as a CSSD (Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics), making her an expert in her field as a sports dietitian.

Prior to launching Rework Nutrition, Alix collaborated with numerous clients of diverse backgrounds and ages. She possesses a unique expertise in assisting a broad spectrum of individuals, ranging from those seeking to cultivate healthier habits and expand their nutritional knowledge to others aiming to alter body composition, enhance performance, and beyond.

Alix is eager about helping her clients make positive and sustainable lifestyle changes to improve performance and overall health. She believes nutrition is highly individualized and is passionate about working closely with her clients to figure out what works best for them.

Relationship With Food

Working on strengthening this relationship involves cultivating a positive mindset towards eating, fostering awareness of hunger and fullness cues, and addressing any emotional triggers associated with food. It also entails exploring, experimenting, diversifying and learning more about foods to appreciate the nourishment and enjoyment that it can bring.
